Location overview
Lordstown is a village in southwestern Trumbull County, midway between Warren and Youngstown in northeastern Ohio. Its broad, lightly settled landscape mixes farms and wooded areas with large industrial sites near the Ohio Turnpike and major rail lines. The community traces its name to Samuel P. Lord, an early owner in the Connecticut Western Reserve, and it remained predominantly agricultural before incorporating as a village in 1975. About 3,300 people lived in Lordstown at the 2020 census. The former General Motors assembly complex defined the village for decades, and manufacturing, battery production, logistics and industrial redevelopment continue to shape its economy.
