Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, USA

Jersey Shore is a borough on the west bank of the West Branch Susquehanna River in southern Lycoming County. The community sits near the mouth of Pine Creek and serves as a gateway to forested valleys, rail trails and recreation areas farther west. First known as Waynesburg, it acquired its present name from settlers associated with New Jersey and was incorporated as a borough in 1826. Jersey Shore had about 4,300 residents in 2020. Its compact center and historic neighborhoods are supported by manufacturing, local services and travel along the river and U.S. Route 220 corridor.
