West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is a global manufacturer of components and delivery systems used with injectable medicines, including elastomer stoppers, seals, plungers, syringes and self-injection devices. The company was founded in Philadelphia in 1923 by Herman O. West, initially producing rubber components for pharmaceutical packaging, and is now headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania. West works with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical-device companies to support the containment and administration of injectable drugs. It employs more than 10,000 people across approximately 50 sites worldwide and reported $3.07 billion in net sales for 2025. The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol WST and is included in the S&P 500.
