Cidra is a municipality in Puerto Rico’s central-eastern interior, bordered by Aguas Buenas and Comerío to the north, Caguas to the east, Cayey to the south and Aibonito to the west. Its traditional town center is surrounded by mountain barrios whose terrain rises roughly 200 to 700 meters above sea level. Rolling green hills and Lago de Cidra shape the landscape and contribute to the area’s reputation as the Town of Eternal Spring. Cidra had an estimated population of 39,669 in 2025, about 0.8% below the 2020 estimates base. Manufacturing, including pharmaceutical packaging and drug-delivery products, is an important part of the local economy alongside retail, services and agriculture.
