Radnor Township lies along Philadelphia’s Main Line in northern Delaware County, about 12 miles northwest of Center City. The community includes Radnor, Wayne, Villanova and parts of Bryn Mawr, with wooded neighborhoods, institutional campuses and commercial corridors set among rolling Piedmont terrain. Lenape people lived in the region before Welsh Quakers established Radnor in 1682, and the arrival of the railroad in 1832 transformed it into a prominent suburban corridor. Radnor had about 32,900 residents in 2025. Higher education, health care, finance, professional services, retail and technology shape its economy, while Villanova University and several historic estates contribute to its identity.
