Burien is a city in King County, Washington, along Puget Sound south of Seattle. Incorporated in 1993, it developed from communities with a longer history in the region. Its shoreline parks and green spaces provide access to the sound and views of Mount Rainier. The city has a downtown centered on Southwest 152nd Street and Town Square, where City Hall and the library share a building.
