Mount Pleasant is a village in eastern Racine County that stretches from the Lake Michigan shore to Interstate 94. The Root and Pike rivers cross a landscape where older farm fields and wooded corridors meet residential neighborhoods, business parks and industrial sites. Settlers formed the township in 1842, and the entire town incorporated as a village in 2003 after more than a century of agricultural and manufacturing development. Mount Pleasant has more than 27,000 residents. Manufacturing, logistics, retail and new technology investment share the community with farmland, parks and lakefront recreation.
