Saydel Community School District, Iowa, USA

The Saydel Community School District is a geographic school district in north-central Polk County, Iowa, immediately north of Des Moines. Its territory includes unincorporated areas around Saylorville and portions of the cities of Des Moines and Ankeny. The district lies between the Des Moines, Ankeny, Johnston and Southeast Polk school districts and is crossed by Interstate 35 and Interstate 80. Although its schools use Des Moines mailing addresses, much of the district is outside the City of Des Moines and is governed locally by Polk County or other municipalities. The current boundary is documented through the Iowa Department of Education’s School District Review Program with the U.S. Census Bureau.
