Akron Public Schools

Akron Public Schools is the public school district serving Akron, Ohio, from preschool through high school. An elected board of education sets policy and allocates resources for its schools and community learning centers. The district provides core instruction alongside special education, arts, early learning and career preparation. Its College and Career Academies use business and community partnerships to connect classroom work with practical pathways. The system also operates student support and school services across the city, making it a major public institution for Akron families and a significant local employer.
