Aurora Public Schools

Aurora Public Schools is an independent public school district serving communities in Adams and Arapahoe counties in Colorado. Also known as Adams-Arapahoe 28J, it operates preschool, elementary, middle and high schools, along with P-8, magnet and alternative education programs. Its educational offerings include career and technical education, college preparation, multilingual learning and special education, supported by transportation, food and nutrition, health and student records services. A seven-member elected board of education governs the district, whose central offices are at 15701 E. First Ave. in Aurora. The original district was established in 1885 and took its current configuration in 1962.
