Centre Region Council of Governments

The Centre Region Council of Governments is a voluntary partnership of State College Borough and five townships in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1969, it lets the municipalities jointly provide services that extend beyond any one community. Its programs include regional planning, code administration, fire protection, emergency management, parks and recreation, and refuse and recycling services. Representatives appointed by the member governments serve on committees, while elected officials guide the partnership through its General Forum. The council coordinates shared public work for an area shaped by State College and its surrounding townships.
