City of Acworth

The City of Acworth is the municipal government for Acworth in northwestern Cobb County, Georgia. A mayor and Board of Aldermen oversee local policy, with city staff providing police, planning, public works, parks and community services. Acworth also operates an electric utility that serves customers in the city and parts of Cobb and Bartow counties. Its public works and stormwater teams maintain streets, sanitation services and drainage infrastructure. That utility reach gives the city organization responsibilities beyond its municipal limits, while its other departments focus on the daily needs of Acworth residents and businesses.
