City of Anthony

The City of Anthony is the municipal government for Anthony in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, at the Texas state line. Residents voted to incorporate in 2010, and the city formally began operating that July. Its government handles local administration, public records, planning and zoning, municipal court and community services for a compact Upper Mesilla Valley jurisdiction. Elected officials and city staff manage development along the Interstate 10 and State Highway 478 corridors. Anthony’s location between Las Cruces and El Paso gives the city a cross-border regional setting distinct from the neighboring Texas community of the same name.
