Clearwater Public Library System

The Clearwater Public Library System is the municipal library network serving Clearwater, Florida. Its five branches provide books, digital collections, research resources, public computers, meeting space and programs for children and adults. The system serves residents throughout the city while also participating in the wider Pinellas Public Library Cooperative. Clearwater’s first subscription library opened in 1911, followed by its first public library in 1916. The present network grew from that early civic institution as Clearwater expanded across the mainland and barrier islands.
