Cleveland Municipal Court

Cleveland Municipal Court is a local trial court in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, with territorial jurisdiction covering Cleveland and the village of Bratenahl. Its General Division handles criminal, traffic and civil matters, while its Housing Division addresses housing cases. The Clerk of Court maintains case records and processes filings, fines, court costs, bonds and related payments for the public, attorneys and law enforcement agencies. Felony cases pass through preliminary proceedings before transfer to the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. The court also operates specialized dockets and services including mediation, probation, interpreters and programs intended to address underlying causes of repeat offenses. Its courthouse is at 1200 Ontario Street in downtown Cleveland.
