Douglas County Sheriff's Office

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is the county law enforcement agency for Douglas County, Kansas, with its headquarters in Lawrence. Led by an elected sheriff, the office patrols unincorporated areas and works with municipal police departments throughout the county. It operates the county jail and is responsible for court security, warrants, civil process and records services. The agency also supports investigations, emergency response and community programs across a county that includes Lawrence, Eudora, Baldwin City and rural townships.
