Food Lion

Food Lion is a supermarket chain based in Salisbury, North Carolina, and part of Ahold Delhaize USA, the U.S. division of the Netherlands-based grocery group. Founded as Food Town in 1957, it operates grocery stores across Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. Its stores sell food and household goods, and the business also offers online grocery ordering and pickup at participating locations. Food Lion is one of Ahold Delhaize USA’s local grocery brands, with its own store network and customer-facing identity. The company’s Food Lion Feeds program works with local partners on hunger relief in the communities it serves.
