Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning

Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning is Mississippi’s constitutional public university governance system. Its 12-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the governor with Senate consent, oversees eight public universities. The system also includes the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the Mississippi Cooperative Extension Service, Mississippi Agricultural, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine, and 23 satellite centers. Its Board office is at 3825 Ridgewood Road in Jackson, and the system administers statewide functions including student financial aid.
