REMSA Health

REMSA Health is a private nonprofit emergency medical services organization based in Reno, Nevada. Established in 1986, it provides ground ambulance service in its Washoe County franchise area, which excludes Gerlach and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District. Its services also include Care Flight medical transport, emergency medical dispatch, education and community health programs. The organization operates under the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority name and introduced REMSA Health as its collective brand in 2021. Patient service fees support its operations, and the organization says it receives no local tax subsidy for its ground ambulance service.
