Southern Door Fire Department

Southern Door Fire Department is a nonprofit public-safety organization providing firefighting, fire prevention and emergency medical response in southern Door County, Wisconsin. It is based in the Village of Forestville and serves the village and the towns of Forestville and Clay Banks. Its municipal organizational agreement dates to 1980. Nasewaupee withdrew from the arrangement in 2023 and established a separate fire and rescue department. A fire board handles budgets, equipment and representation from the participating municipalities. The department’s fire station at 110 East Main Street in Forestville serves as an operating base for responses across its rural and village communities.
