Standard-Examiner

The Standard-Examiner is a newspaper based in Ogden, Utah, covering local government, business, education, sports and community news across northern Utah. Its history dates to 1888, when the Ogden Standard published its first edition; it adopted its current name after merging with the Morning Examiner in 1920. The newspaper primarily serves Weber, Davis, Box Elder and Morgan counties through its print edition and Standard.net. It was acquired in 2018 by Ogden Newspapers, a family-owned media company based in West Virginia that also owns the Daily Herald in Provo.
