Stillwater Mining Company

Stillwater Mining Company is a U.S. mining and metals processing company within the Sibanye-Stillwater group. Its Montana business develops and processes platinum group metals from the J-M Reef, with palladium and platinum as its principal mined products. The business includes the Stillwater and East Boulder mining complexes and the Columbus metallurgical complex, where mined concentrate and recycled automotive catalysts are processed. Sibanye acquired the company in 2017, bringing the Montana operations into its international portfolio. Its metals are supplied for industrial uses that include vehicle emissions-control catalysts, electronics, chemical production and other applications requiring platinum group metals.
