Town of Andover

The Town of Andover is the municipal government of Andover, Massachusetts, a community in northern Essex County near the New Hampshire line. Incorporated in 1646, Andover developed from an early farming settlement into a suburban center within Greater Boston. The town retains a traditional New England town-meeting form of government alongside professional municipal administration. Its departments oversee public safety, public works, planning, recreation, libraries and other local services. Andover also shares an information technology organization and network environment with the local public school district.
