Organization overview

Town of Dunstable logo

The Town of Dunstable is the municipal government for a small rural community in northern Middlesex County, Massachusetts, along the New Hampshire border. The town is characterized by wooded land, farms, low-density neighborhoods and the Salmon Brook valley. Local institutions serve residents while many jobs and regional services are reached through nearby communities such as Nashua, Lowell and Groton. Dunstable was incorporated in 1673 and retains a traditional New England town-meeting form of civic life. Its historic center and surrounding open land reflect centuries of agricultural settlement and gradual suburban growth.
