Woodbine Municipal Utilities Authority

The Woodbine Municipal Utilities Authority was the former public water utility for Woodbine, a borough in Cape May County, New Jersey. It managed the local drinking-water system before the borough dissolved the authority and consolidated its duties into a municipal water department in 2017. The system draws groundwater from two wells in the Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifer and uses a storage tower for distribution. The borough now operates and reports on water service through its utilities department, although some current records still use the former authority’s name. The authority should therefore be understood as a historical operator of the borough’s water system.
