Brown City water well cyberattack

Brown City officials said a cyberattack changed the IP address of Well No. 3 and stopped the municipal well from producing water until staff restored it within a couple of hours. No actor, ransomware or data theft is established, but the cellular connection, configuration change and UIS SCADA context closely match the late-July 2026 water-utility campaign.
