Luminis Health cyber incident disrupts patient systems

A cybersecurity incident disrupted Luminis Health systems beginning Aug. 31 and continued affecting patient services through Sept. 10, with MyChart and CareConnectNow unavailable. Patients were rerouted and cancer treatment and imaging were delayed or canceled, although hospitals remained open; the mechanism, data impact, ransomware involvement and responsible actor remained unresolved.
