Westfield Public Schools experienced a district-wide technology disruption beginning Sept. 1, 2026, that disabled internet, Wi-Fi, phone service, instructional tools and the student information system while schools continued operating with manual workarounds. INC Ransom claimed the district as a victim, but the district has not confirmed ransomware, data theft or the actor's responsibility, and additional systems remained under restoration after phones returned Sept. 7.
