Creek County lies in east-central Oklahoma’s Sandstone Hills, with Sapulpa as its seat. The county was established at statehood in 1907 and named for the Creek people. The Cimarron River and the Deep Fork and Little Deep Fork rivers are among its waterways. Railroads, oil production and manufacturing helped shape its communities.
