Colleton County, South Carolina, USA

Colleton County lies in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, extending from inland farmland toward the Atlantic coast. Walterboro is the county seat, and Edisto Beach is one of its coastal communities. Much of the southern county forms part of the ACE Basin, where the Ashepoo, Combahee and Edisto rivers meet extensive wetlands. Forests, farms and protected natural areas give the county a largely rural landscape.
