Davidson County lies in north-central Middle Tennessee and is largely consolidated with Nashville, which serves as both the county seat and the region’s urban core. The county also contains distinct municipalities and communities such as Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Forest Hills, Goodlettsville, Madison and Antioch. The Cumberland River bisects the county from east to west, shaping its settlement, transportation corridors and network of parks and neighborhoods.
