Camarillo, Ventura County, California, USA

Camarillo is a city in Ventura County’s Pleasant Valley, on the agricultural Oxnard Plain in Southern California. It lies along U.S. Highway 101 between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, inland from the Pacific coast. The community grew from an agricultural settlement into a suburban city while retaining farmland and nearby hills as prominent features of its setting. Incorporated in 1964, Camarillo takes its name from the Camarillo family’s ranching history.
