Glendale is a city in Los Angeles County, California, northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Its neighborhoods extend around the Verdugo Mountains and the eastern San Fernando Valley. The town was recorded in 1887 and incorporated as a city in 1906. Mountain ridges, washes and major streets help distinguish its residential and commercial neighborhoods.
