Century, Escambia County, Florida, USA

Century is a town in northern Escambia County, Florida, at the Alabama state line. It developed around the Alger-Sullivan Lumber Company’s mill in the early 1900s. Its historic company-town neighborhood includes wood-frame houses built for workers, foremen and company administrators. Churches, a former hotel and recreational buildings also form part of the Alger-Sullivan Lumber Company Residential Historic District.
