Location overview
North Miami is a city in northeastern Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida. It lies on Biscayne Bay, roughly 10 miles north of Miami, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Founded in 1926, it marked its centennial in 2026. Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay campus is within the city. Its downtown includes the Museum of Contemporary Art and MOCA Plaza on Northeast 125th Street.
