Location overview

Forest Park is a city in Clayton County in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. The community developed as a wood and water stop on the Macon and Western Railroad and incorporated in 1908. Much of its later development followed the suburban expansion of the Atlanta area after World War II. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to the west and Fort Gillem to the east helped shape its industrial and residential growth.
