Norcross is a city in southwestern Gwinnett County, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. Founded in 1870 along a rail corridor, it grew as a commercial stop between Atlanta and the Carolinas. Its historic downtown preserves part of that rail-town setting, with older buildings and public spaces at the city’s center. Later residential and commercial growth connected Norcross to the wider Atlanta metropolitan area. Parks and neighborhood streets remain important parts of the city’s landscape.
