Location overview

Burley is a city on the Snake River in south-central Idaho and the county seat of Cassia County. It stands at the center of an irrigated agricultural region shared with neighboring Minidoka County and the city of Heyburn across the river. Burley developed in the early 20th century as federal irrigation projects and rail connections opened the surrounding plain to settlement. River parks and views toward the Albion Mountains connect the city with the wider Magic Valley landscape. Food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, transportation and regional services support its economy.
