Kendrick is a small city in Latah County, Idaho, in the Potlatch River canyon southeast of Moscow. The town occupies a narrow green valley between the forested uplands and rolling grain country of the Palouse. It developed in the late 19th century as rail service linked farms and timber operations with regional markets. A compact commercial center and nearby trail preserve elements of that transportation history. Agriculture, forestry, small businesses and outdoor recreation remain closely connected to the surrounding landscape.
