Location overview
Moscow is a city in north-central Idaho and the seat of Latah County, near the Washington border. It lies among the rolling wheat fields of the Palouse and forms a regional pair with Pullman, Washington. Settled in the 1870s, Moscow developed as an agricultural trade center and became home to the University of Idaho in 1889. The university, a walkable downtown and surrounding trails give the city a distinctive college-town character. Education, research, technology, health care, agriculture and regional commerce anchor its economy.
