Roberts, Jefferson County, Idaho, USA

Roberts is a city in Jefferson County in eastern Idaho. The community developed as Market Lake, a stagecoach and railroad stop serving the surrounding agricultural country. It took the Roberts name in the early 20th century in honor of an Oregon Short Line Railroad official. Farming, ranching and the wetlands of nearby Market Lake Wildlife Management Area remain features of its setting.
