Location overview

Gorham is a town in Coös County in northern New Hampshire, set in the Androscoggin Valley beside the Presidential Range. Incorporated in 1836, it developed as a railroad center after the St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad arrived in 1851. Rail service helped bring visitors to the White Mountains and supported local logging and industry. Its former Grand Trunk depot, built in 1907, houses the local historical society and railroad museum.
