Easley is a growing Upstate city located primarily in Pickens County, with a smaller portion extending into Anderson County. Founded along a rail line in the 1870s, the community later became a textile center and today functions as the principal residential and commercial hub of Pickens County. Easley had an estimated population of 27,001 in 2024. The Doodle Trail follows a former railroad corridor between downtown Easley and Pickens and has become a major recreational asset. Manufacturing, retail, health care, construction and service businesses connect the city to the larger Greenville metropolitan economy.
