AnMed is an independent, nonprofit health system headquartered in Anderson, South Carolina, serving patients across Upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia. Its network includes acute-care hospitals, emergency departments, physician practices, urgent care centers, imaging facilities, laboratories, rehabilitation programs and a range of specialty services. The system provides inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, primary care and specialty care through locations in and around Anderson, Pickens, Greenville and Oconee counties in South Carolina, as well as Hart County, Georgia. AnMed says it operates 648 licensed beds, more than 60 physician practices and employs about 3,600 people. Its services include cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral health, pulmonary care, neurology and other clinical specialties, making it a major regional provider for both routine care and emergency treatment.
