Honea Path, Anderson County, South Carolina, USA

Honea Path is a small Upstate town spanning Anderson and Abbeville counties. It developed from a water stop on the Greenville and Columbia Railroad and was incorporated under its present name in 1917. The town had an estimated population of 3,885 in 2024. Textile production, particularly the Chiquola Mill, shaped Honea Path’s employment, neighborhoods and civic life for much of the twentieth century. Today the town combines its mill and railroad heritage with local manufacturing, schools, small businesses and services for the surrounding agricultural area.
