Kempner, Lampasas County, Texas, USA

Kempner is a city along the Lampasas River in southeastern Lampasas County, Texas. U.S. Highway 190 runs through the community, connecting the area with Lampasas and Copperas Cove. Settlement began in the early 1850s, and the community occupied several nearby sites before the railroad helped fix its present center in 1882. Its name honors Harris Kempner, a Galveston merchant and railroad director.
