Astemo Americas is the Americas operation of Astemo, a supplier of automotive and motorcycle systems. The company develops, manufactures, sells and services automotive components, with headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and a registered head office in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Its business emerged from the combination of Hitachi Automotive Systems, Keihin, Showa and Nissin Kogyo, whose merger created Astemo in 2021. The broader Astemo portfolio includes chassis systems, driver-assistance technology and motorcycle components, as well as aftermarket products. The present Americas company was established in 2021, building on a U.S. business that began in 1974 as the Automotive Division of Hitachi America.
