Farmington Hills is a suburban city in Oakland County in southeastern Michigan, northwest of Detroit. Its gently rolling landscape includes residential neighborhoods, commercial corridors and industrial parks. The city incorporated in 1973 from communities that had formed within Farmington Township. Major roads connect it with Detroit and other employment centers across southeast Michigan.
