Beaver County, Pennsylvania

Beaver County government administers county-level services for Beaver County in southwestern Pennsylvania, with its principal offices in the borough of Beaver, the county seat. The county was created in 1800 from portions of Allegheny and Washington counties and was named for the Beaver River. County government is led by a three-member Board of Commissioners and includes independently elected row offices and courts. Its responsibilities include elections, emergency management, human services, planning, public safety, property assessment, records administration and oversight of county facilities. The government serves communities across the Ohio and Beaver river valleys, including Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Monaca and Ambridge.
