Chester County Library System
Organization overview
The Chester County Library System is a federated public library network serving Chester County, Pennsylvania. Organized in 1965, it brings together 16 member libraries operating 18 facilities across the county. The county-owned Chester County Library in Exton serves as system headquarters and a district center for library services. Member libraries retain their own governing boards while participating in shared system support and resources. A seven-member board of trustees appointed by county commissioners oversees the system.
